.....of David's Birthday...and Pernod Ricard China @ Q Bar

Its a Wednesday nite out on the town and our great buddy David Chin was having a little party at Q Bar so since my good friend Shaun had finally come back into town and I had some flyers and posters for the John Legend Concert to distribute....we headed on down! Everyone was in the house...Rasina, Boon, Alexis...even Simon! Of course David was in his element and everyone had a good time....and as the party was heating up...Raymond and his guest...a whole bunch of Team Pernod Ricard China dropped in for a visit. They had come into town for some big Martell event and as luck would have it...one of their sales guys won the 1 million'th guest from China! Lucky guy and perhaps lucky for STB as well since it could have very easily been some hot Chung Kuo Mei Mei here to hang out with my partner, George (ah...those of you who know me would know what this would mean!!! Hahahaha!). Eng, Gavin and Brandon as well as quite a number of the other MOT (thats Modern On-Trade) Team also came for support and to renew friendships. Oh...and the PR (that is Pernod Ricard and not the other term people!) girls from China are OFFICIALLY HOT HOT HOT!!!! Makes us all want to move there even if we have to take a pay cut! Hahahaha! Anyway....after a few bottles of Cordon Bleu, Mumm's and 2 bottles of excellent Perrier Jouet Rose as well as a couple of interesting stories about poorly brought up Frenchmen....off they went to supper! I had to go meet Gary Callicott at Double O so Shaun came along (he had heard that there were loads of hot young girls there) and thus so did Raymond (who had not been there since the renovation). We got in without a stamp and that did cause some problems for Raymond and Shawn who wanted to go check out the action in the main room with some of the totally rude bouncers there which marred the night. Near the end....even Danny Yong from Black Label appeared! Danny has been a friend since I lived in KL and he joined us for a few shots as we chatted with George, the manager in charge about the importance of service and being polite to your customers! In the end all was well and Shaun and me ran off to Zouk to catch some other friends. All I can say for the rest of the night was....poor Shaun didn't even know where he left his car and he finally managed to collect it from the Marriott the next night!!! Till now he declares thought he LOVES Cordon Bleu.....Cordon Bleu seems to like to kick him in the head after a few rounds! Hahahaha! Oh....er....and yes.....kind of didn't even get a picture of David Chin in the mayhem! Happy Birthday David!
