Q Bars Official Opening

This is one post which I have long delayed but now finally down to! Yes guys and girls...after all this time of running bars and clubs and also having many many excellent nites out on the town in random ones both in Singapore and overseas, it was inevitable for me to go out and try to own one!!! Well...more accurately, its George and myself that have bought a share in one...Q BAR!!! Yes....the famous landmark bar from Ho Chin Minh City and Bangkok has finally opened its doors in our fair little island and I have a shareholder's part in it! Of course there are quite a few other shareholders some of who have been friends for ages such as Prakash, Arthur Tay, David Chin and Boon while some have become good friends such as Thomas, Karen, Frank, Scott and Howard! Needless to say the opening that lasted 2 days was a roaring success! Every and I do mean everyone that is anyone was there! Now lets just see if I can fit all the pics into this post!

Another Edwin's Birthday

Edwin Yee celebrated his birthday at Modestos this year...and we had a blast with good company and fantastic food! Cindy was happily feeding Edwin while we all enjoyed the excellent pizza there. Trust me people...this is really good stuff! Was a blast and a half!

42 Below @ MoS

Another random post about what I will now term my wondering months....was invited to attend a cocktail by Julian, Billy and Giorgio at PURE in MoS with 42 Below and their many many different flavored vodkas....which turned out to be quite a good nite out on the town. Met the principals and got quite a few good tipples of their excellent vodkas. In full effect with me were George, Lawrence Leong.....Ade....and out of the clear blue sky, my old friend from Kenny who moved to KL and who is now a big time bar owner of sorts. Mag turned up with Carl and as you can imagine...the rest became history!

Endless Love @ Thumper!

Its been ages since I blogged so I suppose its time I try catching up before it gets to far from me... and so comes the entry about the Endless Love Party that we held at Thumper. Dick Lee happily volunteered my services for this very charitable party in aid of his Rainbow Foundation which is set up to support talented kids who are unable or disadvantaged when it comes to exploring music, theatre and the arts. Well..it was really a blast from the past....we planned it to be something to remember our old days at one of the most important clubs of the 80's, Chinoiserie at the Hyatt! Cover was at $100 bucks a head and we sold more than 200 covers which we planned for! Audemar Piaget supported with a further $10K so we made more than $30K that night! COOOL!!! All the old faces were there...the Benjamin's, Arthur Tay, Fiona Xie, Ian Wong, Audrey Tay-Ong, Wendy Leong, David Chin, Eng Jeng Hwee...the list is quite endless! Anyway...it sure was a fantastic and nostalgic nite out on the town for all!!!
