F1 Barcelona and Sports Car called Dino

Kind of missed this entry but had to make it cause of a very special guest called Dino that appeared. As you guys would know, I am a big F1 fan and of course my dream team is Ferrari. We gathered at The Pines as ususal to watch the race...and was quite fired up for a Ferrari win in Barcelona. The boys eventually turned up...Royston, Daniel Ou, Edward, Jaacky and gang...and the race was one of the most exciting ever! Felipe Massa won the race much to our satisfaction..his second in a row...but Kimi was a little disappointing. However the VIP guest for the night must have been Dino....yes...Edward Tan had taken out his very very cool.....Ferrari Dino!! He has been slowly restoring it to full original factory condition (thank God he is the MD of Hong Seh who distributes Ferrari and Maserati here). This is one of the only 2 in Singapore and the only one being restored to street worthyness. The Dino has been always considered special by all Ferrari lovers...and this one is just special. The sound of the engine when fired totally was incredible...and Daniel had such good luck to get a ride home in it! What a fantastic end to a fantastic night out on the town!

From Australia!!!

After a real interesting meeting at STB with Michael which resulted in me being an hour late for the concert sponsored by Raymond Weil....and a drink at PS cafe with Felicia, Rosemary and Daren (you could see the electricity in the air!!! ZAP! ZaP!!!)...I decided to run off for a quick drink at MoS since it was a Wednesday night after all. As I walked into Sky Lounge, who should I meet but one of my best buddies, Judd Howie! Judd had been my General Manager at my old club Funky Town about 7 years ago and now was working for a executive search company specliaizing in the hospitality business. How random could this be!!! The both of us had many a good time back in the day...and to see him here was really quite fantastic considering he had only arrived that day and had only a night in town. He had tried to send me email..but I suppose it got lost somewhere. He had his collaegue Ian with him who introduced me to one of his mates Stweart who was now living in Singapore! Of course we had a riot of a time!!! Judd still drinks Jack and Coke....and we sure too a good walk around Clarke Quay. Of course we went over to our old club to see how it was...(now part of the IndoChine Group) and bumped into Michael Ma who was also Judd's friend! Had a few rounds with Mike...then headed back to MoS Pure Room and ended up meeting even more old friends! Watson was there...as well as Shah whom we all know.... Well...since the boys only had one night in Singapore, we quickly had to go show them Zouk and so off we went at 2.30 am to for Judd to reminisce about the good ole' days. A quick peek at a very packed Mambo and then off we went to check out the operations of St James. Stewart couldn't quite continue (and since then we have become quite good friends)...and in Dragonfly..of course we find old Steven Cheng! We checked out Power Station which as way packed even at that hour and just before we decided to call it a nite...bumped into some other friends who insisted to ply us with Cordon Bleu!!! All together a great nite out on the own with some fantastic old and now new friends!!!! And this is only a Wednesday!!!!

Great Velvet Nites!!!

Well...after a reasonablly sedate Friday night of hopping around from event to event....it was time to have a big nite out on the town in my fav club...Zouk. I had heard that Chivas was one of the sponsors of interesting French band Nouvelle Vague so I met Ismay there to check it out! Man!!! It was PACKED to the point of totally uncomfortable. It was hard enough to squeeze our way to the Members Bar....then try to squeeze our way down to see Alexis and Brendan from Pernod Ricard..which was impossible...so we quickly retired to Velvet with Alexis. Of course it was the start of a great night out.....the Chivas flowed....the Mumm's flowed...and the company was excellent. Magdelene turned up with her really hot friend Jane! Mag is a "going-to-be" doctor...and her friend....a legal drug dealer!! Funny man! Anyway...the bubbly continued to flow and we had a blast in Velvet! George turned up for a while....a couple of Alexis friends rocked in...and we had a blast of a time. Well...we finally decided to pop up to Members to take a look around...and of course ended up for a chat with Lincoln. As the night went on.....met Jerome and his hot friend Jacquline who's top could bearly stay up! Of course Jerome wasn't helping much..and by this time we all had more than our fair share of bubbly, Chivas and Cordon Bleu...so off we went to continue the night at MoS Smoove! I must really remember to reign nights like this in more.... But anyway...it was quite fun! Met DJ Tang, Rattle and the rest of the hip hop crew before finally calling it a night and heading home to dreamland!!! What a weekend and what a nite out on the town...HICK!!!

Mercedes Benz Centre 1st Anniversary

Its one of the most common marquee's on the road....their F1 team is beating my beloved Ferrari team.....and I don't even drive....so you ask what am I doing going for their Anniversary....well......two things.......Free Champagne and a Lingerie fashion show from La Perla! Sports cars.....Champagne, Exotic Watches, Lingerie.....you ask how do all these things connect and I really tell you I don't know. Thats the one thing I have wondered about this event. It all seems quite interesting with Maniam and the sax player.....a interesting guest list....but really....it didn't quite connect at all. Anyway.....caught up with quite a few familiar faces for a nite out on the town such as Julian and Sulian as well as Girogio who sponsored the excellent Tattinger. Party animal Banker Joseph was there together with Caroline from Hong Seh who strangely had a very similar outfit to my partner for the evening Felicia! Lucky that the two girls are friends actually! Marie and her Swiss boyfriend joined us....and as the night started grow a little stale....Joseph suggested to hop off to to Uber hot Hip Hop club Butter Factory. George had headed there earlier so off we went (very strange...Merc Centre Anniversary but I arrived in one BMW and left in another!!!). Note to self....Do not wear suit to Hip Hop club cause you will look very un-hip! Well....to escape the hop...we Felicia, Angela and myself decided to split and chill at Em Studio where we bumped into Walter (all my friends from my birthday seem to keep popping up everywhere!). Not long after the girls called it a night...I headed back to Butter to find Joseph only to bump into KC there with Ian!!! Small world indeed! Naturally...more Martel disappeared....and we ended up in HQ...Zouk!!!

My Turn For MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Yes.....another year older....and yet another party nite out on the town....I wonder why I do it actually...but well...I thought it would be a nice way to kind of bid farewell to Q Bar! Yes...once again, the events manager manages his own birthday....and of course I invited all my friends that were near and dear to me! I was really happy that most of my old and new friends turned up....Kimberly and her friends....Caroline and Gary....Dennis and his wife who were supprisingly very old friends with Ian and Say Yong as well! Patrick Teo came down, together with Momo and Dave, the guys from Cannery, Rod and Roberto, Sharon Tang, of course George and Raymond who ran off rather early....Rasina, Conrad, Sulian and Julian, Giorgio.....our other partner Gerald and his wife together with Dr Chan and his wife....(Thanks for the excellent cigar bro!!!)....Anastasia and her cousins....Sharon Wang, Ying and friends....Yuki Lange and her friends....Franck. Tricia and their gang....Edward Tan....Walter, Angela......David Chin, Karen and PK also turned up.....the list goes on and on!!! Anyway..got to really give a big shout out thanks to Royston for the diving course, Giorgio for the 6 litre bottle of Tattinger (3 more than last year!!! I nearly cried!!), Ismay for the plastic handcuffs (I wonder what she was thinking!!!) and also Franck for the limited edition Ferrari PitCrew Watch (this one drew a shout of supprise and glee!!) I swear...this is one of the most perfect birthday's I have had..and believe it or not...I was still sober (kind of) when we broke up! Well...off I went with Kimberly and her friends to MoS where I caught up with Bernard.....and then off I went again to my happy stomping ground Zouk. How could I not end my party at Zouk!!! Of course Lincoln was there and happily got me trashed playing dice! As the night went on...next thing I find, Sharon King, Dylan Foster and the guys from Bellini turned up with Franck and company.....and of course...the party went on and on!! Oh what a NIGHT!!!!! THANK you ALL for coming...thank you for all your friendship...thank you for a fantastic time...thank you for being my friends....understanding and supporting and tollerating me......thank you for being......YOU!!!
