Day 3 of the celebrations and of course.....I spend it again in...ZOUK! Its so begining to be a pattern here. However, to start the night out, we decide to do Velvet Underground first before heading on up to Members. All the boys are out tonight....and as we settle down at our table, Cher...we all waited for Al to turn up. The Tan brothers, Ian and Jeremy dropped in, Patrick Ee and his brother from Australia, a certain physio as who shall remain to be un-named....Adrian Ong....even Rosemary and Gary See appeared! Well...we certainly had a big night out on whiskey though...but I think the previous days and days of drinking were getting to us so we didnt go as hog wild as on other nights. Al didn't turn up but we all had a riot of a good time! Towards the end I caught Lyndonn and her girls who just arrived as I was leaving....so Patrick stayed on with the girls as you expect he would! A big night out on the town as usual....and just about enough of booze for us thank you!
Yes..the party animal finally records his nights out...and makes an effort to try to at least stay sober to remember what I ended up doing! People always say that its not the destination but the journey that counts...but all I say is that so long as you end up in a room with great music, cool company and a glass of Chivas...the rest doesn't matter.

CNY Day 2...and its Zouk AGAIN!
Day 2 of CNY...and my good friend Al from KL was in town with his fiancee, Erica. Al and me have known each other from my time in KL and is one of my dearest friends. He is the first of the boys to tie the knot getting married in April so these are interesting times! It was DJ Cash Money and Zouk wasnt all that packed so it was quite cool. Adrian Ong.... KC and a few of the the other usual suspects dropped in as did Cher who joined us. Man...it did turn out to be quite a big night out on the town indeed with us heading into Newton for supper and Cher quite forgetting the nite out after that!
Chinese New Year 2008
Its Chinese New Year....the start to the Year of the Rat...and of course we are all anticipating great things for this year. Of course the the US seems to be in a economic spiral, huge European banks been taken to the cleaners by just one man....and the English main battle is the BPL battle between Arsenal, Manchester United while poor old Liverpool gets the worst battering in the press I have seen in ages! However MM Lee says things will be good in Asia...and from what we all know, Singapore is poised to be on one of the greatest growth spurts around in ages! We havent had a big home cooked dinner in ages so it was a great thing to have my good friend Stewart and Alison around for steam boat. Mr Chay joined us and we generally just ate ourselves silly! A bottle of champagne, a nice Riseling a couple of shots of Chivas 18...and then we were about ready to hit town! Had planned to meet Jeremy and the boys that Zouk and it turned out to be a great night out on the town. KC, Adrian...a couple of the old faces such as Lester and Jeff Oon.....great fellowship indeed!
All Reved Up!
STB was throwing their first big event of the year at the St Regis so of course the team from Resorts World wanted to go, make a statement and check it out. Off we went, Kirst, Richard, Shirly, Noel and the gang and it was quite a interesting event. There were more than a few supprising faces there including Lincoln, Jin all the way from Vietnam, Bennett from APB, Andrew Ing from St James....indeed...with all the VIP's it was quite a big night out on the town for everyone! STB showcased their many plans for the tourism industry with us, their plans for the F1, the Singapore Flyer, the Marina Barrage and of course both our Integrated Resorts. There is one thing I was very supprised about, and that was the rather disappointing set up of the sound, lighting and video system in the ballroom. Exposed lighting battons, a RH speaker system hanging clearly out of place, everything exposed....which would be great for maintenance but it really distracted quite alot for a small room which made it quite look quite cluttered. Quite disappointing for the St Regis actually. Well....it turned out to be a big night out on the town for everyone with me heading down to the B-One Grand Opening Party after that!
Indian Splendor
I have always had my eye on India and am fully convinced that they are a huge force in the entertainment, arts, music, cultural, finance and industrial industry....and also in fashion! Shweeta from Teamworks was putting together a show for one of her top Indian clients so of course I went down to the fashion show and dinner in support. The clothes were actually very outstanding...by one of their top designers, Suneet Varma. Quite a production indeed! The creme-de-la-creme of the Indian community were there as well as a couple of other familiar faces. Elaina was part of the organizing committee so since I was single, we decided to partner up. Also met Bobby H as well as David Chin! Was a interesting nite out on the town indeed!
A nite out in Balaclava and Velvet
A long time since my last update....so just a quick one for one of those random Friday nights. Happend to finish my meeting in DPA so decided to pop my head into Bala to see whats happening and just happen to meet Rafi who was having his last day celebrations and also Benedict. As it would turn out....a couple of the other old Bala boys turned up too! Gerard, Sunder and company! It was a great night out on the town catching up with each other...and then it was off to Velvet to meet Royston and the boys. Also caught up with Jo there....quite a big night out with no dinner! Must remember not to do that again too often!

JLC's Boutique Opening @ The Raffles
My fav watch brand Jager-LeCoultre had opened their new boutique at The Raffles and I was invited to the party! Of course I would not miss this one! One of the greatest gifts I have is that dad left quite a few of these fine instruments with me. My old friend Oscar who is the boutique manager had invited me and also met Xavier Dufoix, the MD of Jager for South East Asia. Also was introduced to Jerome Lambert, the CEO of Jager-LeCoultre himself! Well, one of their VIP guest was supposed to be Kelly Lin Xin Lei, a famous Taiwanese actress, but I think the star of the night was The Rose....a Jager-LeCoultre Calibre 846/1 Mechanical Manually-Wound wonder with 75 carats of precious gems. A truly one of a kind exceptional piece indeed. Dinner followed and I had the delightful company of Patricia Yeo, the JCL sales director as my partner. A very exceptional night out on the town indeed!
The First Velvet Night of 2008
Well.....its Velvet nights out on the town again and had the opportunity to catch up with more than a few friends. Made some new ones and renewed some old ones. Velvet never fails to be the one club I feel most at home. The music, the friends, the whole atmosphere. Its all there! I also was Edonn's birthday so of course I had to show up and keep the party going. Well, the whole gang was there, Sylvia, Jeremy, Clarice and Jolene. One of the most interesting nights I have had recently actually. Cheers 2008...its already looking up!

New Year's Eve 2007/2008
New Year's Eve marked a ending and a new begining of more than the end of the year for me. I think things are going to look real bright on all fronts. Well, dinner was at Stewart's place with Alison and some of their friends. Home cooked! Stew is really a excellent cook! Some excellent wine, great conversation and not before long off we were to Thumper to count down the year. As we settled into our table, all my buddies were there. Harry and Angel turned up, Ian, KC, Shaun, Jonty, Shay....even sweet Jacklyn. Well the party decided to move off to Velvet so off we went. Bobby and Francis were in fine action as was Franck....and even met one of my oldest buddies, Ryan Hong! A really excellent nite out on the town with great company and fantastic food. Here's to 2007....and to a fantastic 2008!
