Ferrari Club Charity Drive and our F1 Win at SPA

In conjunction with the DS Lee Charity Foundation, the Ferrari Owners Club got together for a good cause to have a charity drive this fantastic Sunday afternoon. The word went out and of course the club members heard the call to support a worthy cause. Alex, Charmaine and their team had arranged for a great Tulip course for us and 31 teams in everything from the newest Ferrari 599 to the Challenge Stradele.....Maserati Grande Sport Limited Edition (Edward's very own) to the Spyders and Quatroportte, Tim's very cool Testarosa to Franck's F430 Spyder rolled to support. Well, as you can imagine, the turn out was impressive, everyone from Seng Gee, the President Dr Ben, Rudy, Daniel and Karen......and just about every other familiar owner we knew. Royston had invited me to be his navigator on this course I was totally happy to do so. The course started at the Dempsey Road Car Park and after a course that took us from Commonwealth to Kent Ridge and then onwards to Mt Faber and finally to One15 Marina, the cars made a mad scramble. Some got lost, some missed the route markers, some headed straight to One15 for beers....and others ended doubling back here and there to complete the trail. I am indeed totally supprised that inspite of a few interesting road blocks and delays, Royston and myself reached One15 only to find no one else had reported in! Even Charmaine and her reception crew had not arrived and Roy even had time to go pray and break fast! Dinner followed with the kind support of Giorgio Ferrari and his wines and champagne as well as food from One15. After the cheque presentation, it was time to award the winner....and coming in 3rd was Seng Gee, second was TJ Tay and supprise supprise....Royston and myself had been declared the winner!! Overall a super (day) and nite out on the town with a cool trophy too boot!
And to top everything off....Ferrari came in first and second for the Spa Race!!! Talk about a great nite out on the town...I dont think it could get any better!

Chloe's Birthday

One of the sweetest 5 year old's that I know, Chloe, celebrated her 5th birthday witha real nice bash up at her place in Kembangan. Her Dad, Franck M. is a real good friend of mine and was kind enough to throw a fantastic party for the little princess! Lots of great food, fantastic wine and champagne as well as great company! Adrian, Royston, Michelle, Kris and Valerie were all there together with Agnes and her kids as well! It sure was a excellent night out on the town with the boys and this really pretty princess throwing a celebration with one of the coolest cakes I have seen! Oh...and I finally saw a Ferrari that I may actually be able to afford and not need a license to get on the road with! It may only have 2 wheels but as Adrian would testify, it sure goes! Happy Birthday sweet princess Chloe!!!

My Team at Timbre

Oh...also kind of forgot to update this entry....Looks like my team at Resorts World are quite the party animals! Was indeed quite fun to host them down at Timbre on the first week at my job. Shirly, Angie,Terence, our head of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Michale Chin who heads the projects team...even 3 of the engineers from Projects turned up. Man, those projects guys sure can drink! And so can Michael!!! We had quite a good time bonding and getting to know each other just a little better on this nite out on the town with my new collegues. Cheers guys!!!!

Thumpers Grand Opening Party

Finally, Thumper is officially opened and what a party it was. As expected, everyone that was anyone turned up to see the re-vamped club. Finally the biometric thumb printing system works....wirelessly, the new team is in place and working well. The food is going good...and the parties and promotions seem to be well underway. As you can imagine as with any event that has a free flow, we all had loads of fun! Boon and Satia were extatic that their baby was reborn. Also part of the celebrations were Sulian and Julian, George and Kimmy, Thea, Jake, Vincent and the Pernod Ricard team, Alwyn, Rosemarie and the boys.....all in all, a grand nite out on the town indeed! Congrats Thumper! I am sure I will be seeing alot more of you in the coming years!

Horomundi Pajama Party

After a really sad race, off we went to Bellini Room for the closing party of Tempus. Horomundi was throwing the closing event so of course we had to be there. I must say that these watch people really know how to party and have a big nite out on the town! There were a few familiar faces like Gary, Ching Wyin, Maxime....but the biggest supprise came when the owner of one of the biggest names in watchmaking, Richard Mille, jumped up on the bar counter in his shirt and BRIEFS only! Amazing!!! To wet our throats, we enjoyed some excellent Macallan 18 years (thanks to Marcus). All in all a excellent way to round up a rather sad night actually!

F1 @ Timbre with the Ferrari Club

Yep...its Monza!!! The spiritual home of Ferrari! This is the one race that every Ferrari fan and supporter pray they win. Well...considering the results of the constructors championship and now that McLaren is out of the way...we were all hoping that we Massa and Raikonnen would be up to the game. Oh well....sad to say that the results were less than spectacular....actually its the one race in this season that I suppose we all wish we could forget. We did get to watch it in a cool place though, my very own club! Timbre @ The Arts House. Yep....I still have a share there and it looks like its doing quite well. Turning up there just before 8, the boys had already parked their cars around the club...and woah....did it look GOOD! We had more than our fare share of Ferrari's parked around and we looked like the hottest club in town! Of course glad to say that the usual suspects turned up for this nite out on the town, Arthur Tay, his brother TJ and wife Samantha, Bobby Hiradani, Daniel Ou, Royston and even Rosemarie and Anthony! Abig thank you to Edward and his team there though. Oh well.....lets hope we do better at the next race......

The Millenium Cocktail @ Thumper

My last big event that I put together was for my good friend Royston. Roy is in the shipping business and I had helped him throw a cocktail for his clients and friends on a hot Friday afternoon in Thumper. Not really a big night out on the town but it sure was a start!!! Was actually quite cool! Had Nikki Duffel on sax and Paul Ponaduari on guitars do the entertainment, John Danger do close up magic, Jeffrey Chung's girls to do the stage show and one of Roy's friends, Elize, supplied the dance show. Being Roy's party, you can imagine the champagne flowing and the food being excellent Indian as a twist! The usual suspects turned up for the party, Adrian Ong, Alan Chong, Daniel Ou, Teng, Kimberly...and quite a number of other friends! Unfortunately had to rush back to the office for another meeting...oh well....thats the life of a employee now!

My Own Celebration

Yup...thats right...been wanting to blog about this party and finally got the time. I always seem to be attending other people's parties but when I throw my own, it indeed becomes quite a kick ass time! Well.....as some of you may know, I finally got a real job! Yep! Now I work for someone else with a fixed salary! Hahahaha! Shocking right? But this is one hell of a job if you know what I mean! I was lucky enought that Resorts World, the IR by the Genting Group that is going up in Sentosa and that will be ready in end 2009 and 2010. The details are all for another entry but needless to say, I am really excited by this! And what better way to celebrate then to get all my close friends down to Thumper for a few drinks!!! George, Royston, Sulian and Julian, Stephanie and Belle, Kelly, Kimberly, Raymond, Boon, David Chin....a real rocking rolling night that ended up in Zouk! A big night out on the town with good friends and a excellent reason to party! Well....looks like with my new job I won't be doing much of that during the weekdays....
