FLESH Imp @ ZOUK!

AH! Flesh IMP! THE COOLEST local brand on the scene had a top flight blast at Zouk and of course it turned out to be an excellent nite out on the town! Raymond and Alexis came down as one of their brands, E-33 Cider were one of the main sponsors at Zouk! It was a fantastic show with with a totally interesting stage and fantastic clothes. In happy attendance was Edwin and Lynn....Lester all the way from Shanghai, Adeline and June, Jeff, Peter Ng...even Edward Tan from Hong Seh rocked in and joined Victor and myself for a few shots! Herman the German....and my old friend Veesheen Yuen were in full attendance in Velvet for the after party...how could it go wrong! My good friend Vincent and Nicholas with the great support of Franck threw a astonishing party! And of course...what a endless flow of champange at Velvet after that with the kind courtesy of Franck. Much to his supprise, they made him pay for a glass of coke after opening 16 bottles of Moet Rose so he was quite pissed and I don't blame him...but I suppose mistakes do happen. Anyway...it was an excellent night and one not to be forgotten easily.

The Chivas Life @ Attica

Ah! What can I say....its Chivas...my faithfull companion thru my many nites out on the town...and they are threw a blast and a half at Attica. Big THANKS! to Raymond, Alex and Brendan who invited me.....The fashion show was sure interesting...and the costumes especially with Eng all dressed up like a the Golden Gladiator were way cool! There was a "B" Boy Crew doing some nifty moves on the dance floor...and enough of the good tipple to keep everyone in high spirits! Even Eric ended up with BUNNY EARS and Raymond had his shirt removed by his legion of adoring female fans! To think...he is a Marketing Director and NOT a ROCK STAR!!! I want his job! Cheers to CHIVAS! With out you...this blog would be alot less interesting and colorful!

Edwin's Big Birthday Bash Part 2

Its one of my best friend, Edwin Yeo's big 39th Birthday Bash and though this post is again way way late....the best way to pay tribute to this party animal come wise guy is in pics! Ivan's Birthday BBQ!

Haven’t been to a home cooked BBQ in ages and when Ivan and his wife Cara invited me…I just jumped at the chance. Great company…a home cooked meal….and more than a few drinks! Just what the doctor ordered! When we got there the party was well underway! The shrimps were on the barbe…and the whiskey was well being poured! It also coincided with Ivan’s kids birthday so it was double joy! Funny thing is…I think Ivan and me share the same birthday! May 7!!! How funny…. My old friend Suzanne Walker was there and we had a ball of a time with our fellowship! Indeed, let the good times roll and all too soon, we had to bail to head to Edwin Yeo’s birthday! Looks like the start of another serious nite out on the town!

Edwin's Birthday....Part 1

One of my oldest friends…Edwin Yeo finally achieved finally hit puberty at the ripe old age of 30 plus and so it was a good chance for us to all get together in Thumper for a few! Of course…Edwin boldly declared that he was not going to get drunk and guess what…Karaoke King that he is…after a few Flaming Lambo’s and assorted other shots and glasses…..there he is singing Robbie Williams hits on stage! Ed…we all love you but after your 3 minutes of fame on stage…I strongly advise you not to quit your day job and continue to have a good nite out on the town!

The National Stadium...soon only a memory!

The last time I was in the National Stadium…..I was knee high to a grasshopper and I am one of those few 30 something’s that have actually really experienced the Kallang Roar! Well…with the impending end of the ole’ lady….I was invited by my cousin Kelvin to the Sultan of Selangor Cup! What a chance to catch some of the greats of the game…Sundram, Santok, Dollah Salleh…..Fandi, Quah Kim Song…the list of familiar names goes on! Anyway…it was indeed a fun game with the old boys giving it their all and the fans really lapping it up so who do I drag along for the game….Edwin and Patrick..two of the more fanatical soccer kaki’s I have. Of course Kelvin pulls a fast one on us and says its lounge suit so we all turn up in the sweltering heat and find we are the only 3 cats in the stadium of about 15 000 people to come dressed in our Sunday best! Well…there goes another nite on the town then!

A Strange Boys Club....

Jon De Rule…..my old boss from my days at Aneres swung into town on 9 May for drinks and a catch up at Molly Malone’s…and guess what? I ended up going to Muddy Murphy’s instead! Not very smart at all… What followed as virtually a cartel meeting of some of the top international companies in events management all getting together to bemoan the sad state of affairs of our clients shrinking budgets and even less work…..in between loads of Heinekens and eventually vodka Red Bulls…. Ouch….another nite on the town like this may be fun but the beer takes its toll on my bladder…

36 and not BUST!

Finally, time to update my blog…..and boy am I back dated. Too many parties and many nites on the town! I suppose the big one I don’t remember much of but was certain that I enjoyed was my birthday! Dinner was a fantastic buffet at Negara Hotel and followed by a night out at Thumper! How fun was that! My guest list was extensive….nearly 100 of my close friends and business associates…. Well…the Chivas flowed, the Champagne POPPED!!! and I got totally and utterly smashed….HICK!!! Special mention to the Raymond Koh and Alex Tang from Pernod Ricard for the Chivas 18 as well as Giorgio and Jumat for the jeroboam of Tattinger! Thank you all! Adeline, Franck, David, Edwin, Giorgio, Jumat, Patrick, Andrew, Chris, Sunder, George, Julian, Lester, Stephen, Dom, PK, ……and of course all the girls…. Sharon, June, Prisca, Clara, Mag, Hui Fen, Sulian….the list goes on an on…. All the staff of Thumper especially Rahidi, Ashur and Yus…. 36 AND THE PARTY IS STILL NOT OVER!

The Azzurri are CHAMPS!!!

ITALIA are WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!! The Azzurri eat French Fries! It was close...Zidane used his head....and got the red card! ....and I made $5.00 bucks! Thanks to PATRICK! I guess the ball is round and I have found a new interest in life...and learnt a few new names....Ka-Na-Va-Ro...errrr...Del Pierro....errrr Totti..... Toni........ and I will probablly name my first born male child Buffon!!! I will enjoy my pasta even more for the next few weeks! YUM!!!

The Beautiful Game!!!

What a fantastic game! For a person who doesnt really watch soccer....I must say this World Cup has been both exciting and reasonablly profitable! Disappointed with Brazil......supprised by the French....and now happily in LOVE with the Italians! The AZZURRI march on! And finally Edwin, Kelvin and MYSELF all win on the same game! Now lets just hope my luck holds for Portugal and that they supprise everyone and take the CUP!
